No shades required. Always ready with them, however. Crude and Gold down slightly. Bitcoin up a touch but remains in No-Man's Land between the $8,000 Mendoza Line and the All-Important $10,000 mark. Troubles in Southern NY continue for customers of National Grid which has been locked in a standoff since May, when New York regulators blocked the construction of a $1 billion natural gas pipeline that would have run from Pennsylvania to New Jersey and New York. Governor Cuomo has threatened to revoke National Grid’s license to operate in the southern part of New York over National Grid refusing to activate gas hookups for both new and returning customers. Interesting to see how this goes. Apologies for mixing investing and politics, but how do you not with news like this? Wait a second...I just noticed the WSB headline. I will not apologize for mixing investing and politics. Tesla in the news again today and it has nothing to do with a few blue Model 3's. Berlin, Germany appears to be the big winner for GigaFactory 4. The facility would be Tesla’s fourth, following the first Gigafactory battery plant in Nevada, near Reno; a factory that makes charging equipment and power electronics in Buffalo, New York, with plans to make Tesla Solar Roof tiles there someday; and another car plant that’s coming online in Shanghai, today. Tesla has no comment on the lack of production and hiring at the Buffalo, NY factory, according to local Buffalo TV news. That pesky hiring promise might come back to cost Tesla in a big way. When asked "Why Berlin?" Elon Musk responded: “Everyone knows that German engineering is outstanding, for sure. That’s part of the reason why we are locating our Gigafactory Europe in Germany. We are also going to create an engineering and design center in Berlin, because Berlin has some of the best art in the world.” There you have it. Great news for $TSLA longs to start the day. No mention of the Tesla pickup or semi by Mr. Musk. Maybe next time? Musk announced the location while speaking at an awards show in Germany today. He was given a “Das Goldene Lenkrad” or “Golden Steering Wheel Award” by Bild, a publication owned by Axel Springer. Now it's starting to make sense to me. $TSLA, Tesla, Inc. / H1 Golden Steering Wheel Award does not change the fact that Elon Musk is considered excommunicado. The award will not re-open The Continental or its service to him. Nike will stop selling products directly on Amazon. Nike will still continue to use Amazon Web Services to power its apps and Nike.com services. The U.S. shale revolution will reshape global energy markets in the years to come, according to the IEA's annual World Energy Outlook. I wonder if any states who have banned fracking are getting the IEA'a annual World Energy Outlook? Not sure that reports of 7,000 people being unable to navigate Disney+ is a "bumby" start, but there were not many complaints after the early "issues" from what my team can gather. Disney has hit a homerun with Disney+ and it will only get bigger and better from where I am sitting. The current vaping crisis could prompt the U.S. and others to legalize marijuana, according to Tilray CEO Brendan Kennedy. "All the products that we produce in Canada and produce around the world are well tested by not only Health Canada, but regulators in other countries," he told CNBC. "One could argue this vaping crisis could lead to more legalization." Sure one could argue that. One could also argue against that line of thought too. One of the world's most successful retailers, Alibaba, has unexpectedly entered the world of crypto, partnering with bitcoin rewards app Lolli. Alibaba—a China-based retailer who counts multinational behemoth Amazon among its closest rivals—has entered into a partnership allowing customers to earn 5 percent in bitcoin for every purchase. Wow. How could Bitcoin not jump on such news? It jumped when President Xi mentioned block chain technology, why would it not rocket past the All-Important $10,000 mark?via user dcv...Post your buy and sell ideas in the comments.
