Netflix $NFLX is hiking monthly subscription fees by an enormous 13 - 18%. But that's just $2 a month. With 58 million subs: a price hike of $2 per month per US subscriber adds $2 billion in FCF for the year.. that's what bears don't get.Subscribers may grow tired of Netflix and so much proprietary content. Yes, it has good content but the library is getting quite thin otherwise. Disney will come out with classic content. The library will be massive and will take Netflix's subs base, especially as prices keep going up. One may actually catch up on old shows via Hulu or the network specific apps (NBC, FOX, Food Network, etc). For a few bucks more, why pay Netflix? There are other options for getting a library of content. Question is: will you cancel your subscription? Agree = I would cancel. Disagree = It's $2 bucks more for basic. ~Nothing. Would not cancel.
