As soon as I posted Apple's innovation outside of iPhones will matter, Apple is rumored to take a step back in the iPhone 7. 9to5mac reported Apple will remove the 3.5 inch jack, and make the headphone bluetooth (BT) only. This is taking innovation to the whole new level. It's moving technology forward and convenience back a step. Here are the problems: You are on a subway. You get pushed. Your BT headphones get knocked out and fall to the tracks. Had you a wired headphone, you'd still have your headset.BT pairing must be seamless. no issues what soever. Is this possible? The BT connections take energy. iPhone 7 will be thinner so it's battery will probably get drained It is one thing to overpay for Beats, but another thing to push pricey headphone replacements to the user. Further, Beats headphones are BAD. the sound quality is low - as bad as grado or another low-quality product. Apple is better off writing Beats entirely (except for the brand value, which may be counted as goodwill). Highly likely iPhone 7 WILL have BT and users will have to "suck it up." Alternatively, they may move to Samsung and opt for a nicer, better spec'd S7 Agree or Disagree: Is BT-only iPhone a BAD idea?
