The idea of Apple (AAPL) buying GoPro (GPRO) is now in the mainstream. Bloomberg speculated on this, a full 2 - 3 days after my post here. This view, posted days earlier, is exclusive to whotrades. The possibility of a buyout is the main reason GoPro's drop held up and did not fall to the single digits. If no buyout emerges, GoPro will trade at current levels as it consolidates its business and re-evaluates its product positioning in the consumer market. VR developments is positive for GoPro but a long way off. Similarly, VR rumors helped support the stock price, but that was temporary. $GPRO, GoPro, Inc. / 120 Look for trading volume to thin out, unless rumors swirl over a VR maker or camera developer buying GoPro. At 0.9 times sales, GoPro is a compelling buyout candidate.
