Advanced Micro Devices ($AMD) may break its previous highs shortly. Those who had hoped for a dip will have to wait a while longer or miss the rocket ship. Twitter $TWTR is the real champ these days. The microblogging site is looking even better. How did Twitter reverse course and grow user activity? First, it sends out ‘you missed this’ emails to users daily. Second, there are tons of relevant adds that match user interests, so the ads look like promoted tweets. Third, Twitter shows missed tweets first so a user will view the best content first, days after re-logging on the site. In the energy sector, the ride to $100/bbl is stalling. $BP and Exxon $XOM continue to look attractive at these levels. With 5G the rage these days, Nokia $NOK is getting ignored. $6 next..then $7…or $8… or it may disappoint investors and give up the gains. Endo International $ENDP, a generic drug supplier this group admittedly threw away, is out-performing. $TEVA Pharma and Valeant Pharma $VRX remain the best of the three options. After a nice ~15% run-up, Allergan ($AGN) may fall on profit-taking. Valuation is compelling with Allergan. Traders will notice GoPro $GPRO is making a run for 2018 highs. This follows Fitbit $FIT, a former fad stock rebounding as investors expect its smartwatch will win over Apple’s more expensive Watch. Ambarella $AMBA held $50 for a while but those days are over. Sub $40 next? Shorts are hoping for that. Short float is 15.5 percent.
