Futures may be bright enough for shades! Great way to start the week off. Crude up slightly. Gold down fractionally. King Midas has no comment. Bitcoin down to start the week but remains above the $8,000 Remain Calm! level. Boeing news to start your Monday is brought to you by Boeing, of course. Reminds me of the coverage of the problems in Greece some time ago. Daily briefings. Thanks. $BA Former Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg was denied any severance or separation payments in connection with his recent departure, according to an SEC filing. Before getting too upset, it seems that Mr. Muilenburg stands to receive $62M in long-term incentive, stock awards and pension benefits. $62 million! That's Marissa Mayer type money. I am guessing that Mr. Muilenburg will not fight for any severance or separation payments and be happy with the sixty-two million. Saudi Aramco has exercised its "greenshoe option" to sell an additional 450M shares, raising the size of its initial public offering to a record $29.4B. I wonder what the line was on exercising the "greenshoe option" or not? How does one invest in Armco? Anyone? Apple is planning to become a "closed-loop" manufacturer that does not rely on the mining industry and is going some of the way with its "Daisy" robot. The device breaks apart 200 old iPhones per hour so that 14 minerals, including lithium, can be extracted and recycled. If Apple is able to become a "closed-loop" manufacturer it would rule out supply chain issues when it comes to minerals, including lithium. Some anonymous sources will be looking for work, so it seems. Long $AAPL. Star Wars bumped from the top of the box office by 1917. Looking forward to seeing 1917. I would comment more on history but this is an investing site and discussions should focus on stocks and investing. Maybe next time. $DIS Elon Musk remains excommunicado. The doors to any service or provider in connection with The Continental are now closed to him. $TSLA Israel's Ministry of Transport and Road Safety has decided to ground Tesla's Autopilot, the self-driving system installed in all of the company’s vehicles. Autonomous driving is still not approved in Israel, while a series of fatal accidents involving Tesla cars over the past few years has ignited a federal investigation in the U.S. $TSLA is up premarket, as expected, and seems to be unaffected by this news. Long $TSLA via Fidelity Contrafund. “The worst thing that clients and investors can do with the market at current levels is pull the plug and go underweight equities,” PNC Financial’s Amanda Agati told CNBC’s “Trading Nation” on Friday. “There’s time left on the clock. We still think there’s room for this market to move higher.” Interesting comment as I read comments on Seeking Alpha from investors who are moving to a higher % of cash.
