General Mills $GIS is coming out. It is warning the investors and markets that inflation is here.So ignore government-posted economic numbers and media. The costs for shipping via rail is up and $GIS now must think of passing costs to consumers.User @just some guy writes:Whatever is hitting GIS will hit everyone - and that means you and me, when we go to the market. Government inflation figures have understated actual food inflation because it is such a small part of people's budgets in the USA. True at the market, true at the restaurant. We all know about package size "shrinkage" over the past few years, in an effort to hide the price inflation. Well, the packages can't get much smaller now I guess, LOL, time to raise the prices, and maybe put the ice cream back into half-gallons! Plus or minus some consumer grumbling, I expect $GIS profits and stock to recover over the next year or three, and they will endeavor not to reduce the dividend, but no doubt the increases are going to be minimal for some time as well. So I am holding, and will look to add if I like the chart patterns, but I'm not buying today....Previously: $GIS a Value stock of the day.Other reading:QCOM PT $50 Micron to $70 before Apple to $200 AMD Will Not Fall Below $11
